 It is not uncommon these days to be driving along a country road and see the remnants of a one room school house. These are a lot more common than some think. Many of the brick one room school houses have been converted to single family homes. I always get a smile by looking at the cornerstone or cap print with the year it was built. Every so often I come into North Lake which is north of Hartland, Wisconsin and I see the same one room school house sitting there abandoned for years. It has been there for as long as I can remember and I know relatives that have past away now that had gone to school there. When you think of the makeup of school in Wisconsin and the history that existed in these school houses.These are everywhere in Wisconsin. From Washington Island to Lacrosse, to Sheboygan to Ixonia. These have their wonderful mark in history everywhere and I have the luxury to hear from older folks what it was like to learn in one with all the other grades. The last operable one which still used the out house was the one on Washington Island which is now the Island Rec center and art gallery. In the Waukesha County Real estate market there are still examples and rich history to accompany them and they are a tell tale story of not that long ago. Today, they are just a memory and schools are magnificent in Waukesha County.

 On July 24th, 25th, and 26th of this year a tradition continues; it is time once again for the Dousman Derby Days held at Cory Park. This is a Wisconsin festival with all the right atmosphere. There are the beer tents, the parade, the chicken barbecue, and of course the Wisconsin State Championship Frog Jump. If I'm not mistaken the 1960 champion frog "Yogi" had a 14ft jump and he was owned by Jack Longley. Folks, this is a serious thing and is not taken lightly. With softball tournaments, carnivals and rides, and lots of entertainment why not come out and see what Dousman has to offer? For more on this and a complete schedule visit Dousman .Dousman is a village in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,584 at the 2000 census. The parade, the fun, and especially the people make Dousman a place that many will want to come back and visit often, and some will make it their home.

It seemed like Winter was going to last forever. The cold weather subsided and the right of passage that comes with a warmer climate starts to take hold. Activity starts to pick up and it takes off where everything is in a buzz like crazy for what seems to be months and months and all of a sudden things slow down. Sound familiar? Bee keeping in Wisconsin is no different than the cycle of real estate that has been in me for years. When everything is in line we get a taste of the honey and the fruits of our labor. When it's not in line the whole colony feels it, and it effects us all. Waukesha County real estate agents know this. They work hard to make things happen.

 In the Waukesha County Real Estate market there are times when I like to research material for business, get a great motivational book, or find a quite place to sit and enjoy a book. In theWaukesha County Real Estate market we are lucky to have a magnificent system known as the Waukesha County Federated library System. This is really great or anyone living in just about any Municipality in Waukesha County because the Waukesha County Federated Library System allows a user to go to any library in the system and use their library card from their home municipality for material at the library you visit. For example, I have a library card from Oconomowoc and I recently used it at the Pewaukee library. When you live in Waukesha County please make sure to use and enjoy the Waukesha County Federated library system.
