Living the Waukesha County Life and Real Estate Dream:Tom's Blog

Discovery World in Milwaukee Wisconsin: A kid's paradise, and big kids.

My son Spencer and I took a break in the Waukesha County real estate market today and spent some time today and went to the Milwaukee lake front. A gem of an attraction exists in Discovery World. This place is absolutely fascinating with ships, aquariums, music, energy sources, robotics, and just about anything that a kid, and a big kid would be entertained by. Please check it out for yourself at www.discoveryworld.org  Granted the rays did not want to be petted, but I would recommend this place to anyone. Entertaining beyond belief. The Discovery World is located at 500 North Harbor Drive, in Milwaukee on the Lake front, next to the Art Museum. Enjoy this to the hilt.

Wishing you a productive day, and see you at closing!

Tailgating and Opening Day in Milwaukee; The Milwaukee Brewers

Tailgating parties, bratwurst, baseball, beer, and everything else in between; it once again is opening day soon in Miwaukee and once again the Milwaukee Brewers will take center stage. I think if one has not experienced a tailgating party they should experience it once at least for the experience. When you get a whole city worth of people in one large area it is bound to be exciting. If you have been a tailgater before I welcome your comments and stories. Friday the 10th of April is opening day for the Milwaukee Brewers.

For myself, I am still trying to figure out  a number of things. For instance, before Miller Park ( yes, after beer) was built why did people always come to a baseball game when it was below freezing with a bikini on, or a swimming suit? Why don't people ever learn that you don't push the little "smokey joe" barbecue underneath the back of your car at the last minute when it just was used? Fifteen minutes later with everyone entering a stadium you could hear this slight "kaboom". How can a person put away half a dozen bratwurst, drink a ton of beers, and yet get up the next morning at 5:30 and go to her construction job like nothing ever phased them? I am still trying to figure that one out. No matter what it always will be a good time on opening day and 2009 will be as bright as ever; take a look for yourself at The Milwaukee Brewers .

Wishing you a productive day, and see you at closing!
