I remember sitting outside of David Hanson's office not too long ago and Dave making mention of what a wonderful son I had. A short time later I was over at Sally and David Hanson's home and it was a normal greeting from the princess sally.I walked in her home, and immediately she gives you that warm and genuine kiss and hug. Sally , for those who have not met her is a very attractive blonde haired woman with a magnificent smile. That day I was rewarded with another charming comment again about my son when Dave and Sally told me that they thought my son was one of the most polite young men they have ever met. They are so right, and I am so proud to hear comments like that. From there I started to reminence about when he was a baby

As my son gets bigger everyday it becomes a paradox to me that he will always be my little boy and helper. When I need my inspiration it comes in the source of a big hot dog eating Shepherd named Lars, and our guiding light for Lars and I comes in the form of a very charming young man named Spencer; my rock, my pillar of strength, and my greatest achievement in life in success. I am so proud to say this young man is my shining star, and I just love it when everyone can say "You should be so proud to have such a wonderful child." Funny, he doesn't look like me, and everytime I asked his mom in the past about how he does not resemble me she comes back with a 180 by saying 'That reminds me, I need milk"

 I am fortunate to have a son that likes to ride along with me and reminiscence of places we have been, and things we have done. he likes to remember washingtonisland and all the good times we would havbe there. We would get on the ferry, cross over to to Island, drop our stuff off at our lake home, and then from there Spencer, Lars, ans i would be off to the local albatross to get an ice cream cone.

Spencer has such great memories of hanging out with his mom eating local treats, the welcome center, the museum, and even going over to see his little reindeer friend "Miss Donner" at the Ostrich farm

 

 We would get up in the morning and go out salmon fishing in our boat. He really liked this because he would drive and it made him feel that he knew where the fish were. Besides, it's one thing to sleep on your boat in the marina, but it feels even better when a young man has a thirty foot boat with a V8 to boot!

I can remember it like yesterday on march 10th, 2004 when I had total kidney failure became 100%, ans wound up in a septic coma for a month. The pain was amazing, and the rehabilitation took for ever. I did what most people would do after suffering brain work, learning to walk and talk all over again, and ever ritual that comes with living. I took up farming.We had a herd of Jersey Steers, a flock of Hampshire Lambs, redrock and Plymouth rock laying hens, and we raised about 100-150 White rock cockerels each 13 weeks for meat production,. They came in about 7-12 pounds each dressed, and were absolutely delicious.I found it a strange way to heal up, but the education I acquired, and the friends I made were priceless, and for four years I became a full fledged farmer, as well as a Bee farmer. There will be a part in my heart that will always be proud of being a farmer, and being part of the farm community. My dog Lars would run after my tractor while I moved slow. I had mowed paths (about 1o miles of them) that we travel in my tractor. I would stop by and visit the hives, and I always made time to visit everyone. My son is a vegetarian and named the steers names like Rodney,Otis,Larry,Moe,Larry, Geddy Lee and more. Our sheep were Katherine Zita, Gwyneth, and other names. We always named the chickens the same name  We called them "The Tuskegee airmen" The steer and sheep really liked to listen to us play our guitars and they had their favorite as well. They liked Rush,Robin Trower, Wishbone Ash, Johnny Winters and more. They were good friends with Lars, and they were so aesthetically peaceful. I would do it all over again if I could even find someone that would ask me to do it. It was that pleasant and rewarding.

Some the temperature will be warming up in Wisconsin and old habits and rituals start coming into play again; even if they are something you have not done for awhile. Come late March and early April the Bee farmers will go out to their colonies and unwrap the protection so the bees can get ready for Spring. The Queen will be checked to see how she is doing, the drones and workers as well. The hives with be checked for any pests or animals that may have tried to get at them.

One can never understand the feeling that comes with bee keeping. Nature really took some time out and perfected the ritual. The sad thing is bees are vanishing at an alarming rate and when they are gone, there is a good chance the earth as we know it will be totally This is something I miss. Going out in the middle of fields, no one else around, back to nature, and observing a spectacle that really is pretty awesome when you get to know more about it.

Bees will go out up to seven miles and more to find flowers and flora to pollinate. In return there is nectar.

I could get into the bad rap Honey bees get being put into the same categories as other bees, wasps, and hornets get classified into.That would be a whole post and it would be sad that by the time I got done you would realize how really important Honey bees play a part of life daily on earth.

Further, man is doing his best to destroy them as well, and may not even know it. Awfully sad.

 

 

When the next time you are driving through Wisconsin, or for any matter, any State, and you see these colonies out in fields take a moment to reflect on the beauty the Honey bees, the food source (IT is the only food source known to man that can and will not ever spoil)and learn what you can about this fascinating hobby and business. You can start this hobby on a 50th floor balcony. It is an easy hobby to start and is magnificent for your flowers, gardens, and yard.

I dread the idea of when bees are gone and we could have done something about it. Wisconsin is not just tourism, big cities, rivers, and Lakes; it is like every other State, it is made up of unique people that possess a quality that is just a different outlet than others may have.

Are Realtors any different? We are creatures of habit. We perform our rituals, and we have our favorite markets.

We travel miles, and our commitment is like no other. We do what we do with passion, and at times we like to congregate. Just a thought from a bee farmer. I think if an individual took sometime and really found an acquaintance that was a bee farmer, spent some time with them, and it would only wind up being a  matter of time before they could see the absolute serene beauty and simple yet complex lives that bees leave. It is truly a wonder of nature. Looking for a down to Earth Realtor that is outstanding in his field?

  Our seminars are successful , fun, interactive, educational, and very informative. The last seminar allowed us to help 41 people buy properties all in a three month span. When I was younger we could always take our fishing poles down to the the Fox River and have a day of pulling in  pan fish including bull heads, We could have done this for hours. Towering willow trees were everywhere and lent shady to the river as they shot out in to the shy. The park had so many botanical gardens ans everything was just beautiful. Smaller bridges through out the park for people to think,fish,romance,or pitch pennies into the wishing wells. Whole roll of massive concrete trellecesses forming dorms. Every type of magnificent plant are here, and the walk ways were just gorgeous, There is  even a large pond full of cooy fish and it serves as a retention meditation pond People wishing to make a wish could focus and hope their dream came true. This is a beautiful park for anyone living in Waukesha, or visiting Waukesha. There is so much History in Waukesha, stop on my and I would love to talk about it.
