Blog; the mere word I would have never been able to tell you what it meant just a few years ago. By accident I stumbled upon an article in a NAR publication about the impact of social networking. Something
clicked that day, and clicked in a big way. Prior to this I was your type of Waukesha County real estate agent that thought he was pro-active. Pro-active being set by a standard of opening my check book to enormous amounts of expenses to keep my website moving along, and letting people tell me it was all under control. It did not take long to realize that pro-active became synonymous with taking the bull by the horns and aiming and setting my goals in a linear fashion that would take me, my clients, and my business into a whole new direction in a light year fashion; make that warp drive fashion. My grandmother was always reminding me by saying "Tombo people can make their own misery, or they can make their
own destiny". She also reminded me "to be careful of what I put out there in life because it just may come back to help me one day."It really hit home one day when I received an email from a man that had read one of my first posts I did on an American classic; that being Harley Davidson. It did not dawn on me right away that the post was "old" but more importantly the man that contacted me was one of the head guys from Harley. This was before I learned that I even had such a tool as a spell checker. Harley Davidson motorcycles: A Milwaukee product, and a World class product! Well, it turned out this the guy! It took me awhile when I received a call from a man from reading one of my posts that said he wanted to look at Waukesha County Lake homes . I thought how nice; when I asked his wife why they wanted a million dollars home for a summer place, and I needed to qualify them to make sure they could afford it his charming wife said that her husband worked for Miller brewery in Milwaukee. She said that before that he was head of "Big time soda cpmany in Atlanta" North America. These people were the greatest, and I mean some of the greatest people I have ever met. Down to Earth; and I hope his new adventure of heading up South African breweries in Bogota, Columbia is very well. You, I will never forget in the lesson of blogging, and it's effectiveness. It really hit home when I thought I had arrived and when I learned I could connect all these dots with linking my blog everywhere, and becoming part of social networks I never knew existed. I still pride myself on keeping my same recommendations from people I had started with on ActiveRain. We can really hold the world in the palm of our hands if we want.

Well, it's that time of year again. Perhaps I will put a little gray shadow or liner on my dog Lars and parade him around the neighborhood as a vampire. I must admit he looks pretty dapper in a cape and those majestic ears of his. My son will hide all of his peanut butter cups so his Dad's OCD of eating those blasted little things won't send him into a diabetic coma. Doorbells ringing, and all those little kids saying "trick or treat" or "Happy Halloween" in Waukesha County.
